Market Share

Most people would say that somewhere around 80-90% of computer users use Microsoft Windows. At first glance, that statement seems about right. Unfortunetly, the reality of the situation is a little more complex.

Take the average office worker. In reality, while they might be a single Windows user, they probably use at least two different Windows computers; one at home, and one at work. On the other hand, most Apple computer users that I know only have Mac. In fact, a lot of them use a Windows computer at work.

Web-based Instant Messaging

Meebo provides web-based access to several instant messaging systems, including MSN, AIM/ICQ, Jabber/GTalk, and Yahoo Messenger.

The user interface is based on the so-called AJAX technologies, and is really quite slick. I'm not quite sure where they are going with this service though. I can't see how they are going to make money with this, although I imagine they could easily include some sort of advertising, targetted or otherwise. Anyway, I would definately recomend checking this out.
